This workshop explores the use of Mark making with waterproof pens on a 16 x 16 inch canvas .
The painting is achieved by the use of layering with inks and acrylic paint . Stencilling and stamping are also used as a means of mark making . The final painting is achieved through painting out negative spaces to achieve the final image .
No previous art experience is needed to participate in this workshop. Materials for this workshop will be supplied and a material fee of $25 this includes the canvas , inks , brushes , stencils and brushes. Students can bring own canvas of similar dimension if they desire .

ABOUT THE TUTOR
Lesley is an experienced artist and teacher. She works in watercolour, oils, pastels and mixed media, with subjects for her work include birds, flowers, landscapes and coastal views.
Lesley has studied Art at TAFE and has attended intensive workshops with a number of well known Australian artists such as Grace Paleg (pastleist), Ly Diefenback (pastel and oil) and Paul Magoscy (watercolour bird painter). Lesley has exhibited her art and won several awards including the York art awards. Currently her work is represented in the Monet Gallery in Perth as well as a solo exhibition at Goomalling. Her felted crafts are displayed and sold at the Monet Craft shop in Toodyay, the lucky find dress shop in Beverly, Visitors Centre in Waroona and the Murry arts and craft shop in Pinjarra.
