FABRIC DYING - SHIBORI
This will be a relaxing day, creating a uniquely personalised fabric that you can turn into a scarf, homeware or garment.
This Japanese tie-dying technique dates back to the eighth century and is becoming a significant feature in modern day personal apparelled and homewares.
The technique in the photo sample uses a grid effect. Other techniques will also be available at the workshop.
This workshop will include basic steps for hand dying.
